"From one problem to another"
Winnipeg isn't the only city to suffer the junk science of Active Transportation facilities. This video shows New York commuters who gave up on the slower, more dangerous bike lanes built for them by the city, and are back riding in motorized traffic.

That was pretty funny...
Do we have anything like that here? I know there is a wrong way bike lane downtown. I don't remember what street...
Yes, "junk science":

Seems it generally works in the most bike friendly of cities.
Next time you live in a city that has real bike lanes that are used by thousands of commuters a day, like I do, let me know. They aren't perfect, but neither are normal traffic lanes.
and, of course, it's neither "junk" nor "science", so you're entirely misleading right from the start.
and, gosh, there's even a sense of style on Copenhagen bikelanes:

but apparently you think Winnipeg can do better, somehow.
Yeah I am sure that the problems they are having in New York are specific for that particular place. For all we know that sort of bike lane is just what Winnipeg needs ... at least in some places.
the princes bike lane is poorly thought out on the left side then u gotta switch sides in the midle of traffic when it ends so u can be in the bike lane on donald agg thats dumb
the assiniboin lane with its fancy bariors has people parking in it already like wtf? allmost got into an acedent last night cause of some dick driving over the briour to park in it almost takes me out as hes flying into it
